Market Version Numbers

Markets can be configured for each section on a given policy number and year. Mid-term changes in the market can be accommodated using market version numbers (MVN), which must be created sequentially ‘01’ through ‘99’. Subsequent market versions must have an effective date that is equal to or greater than the effective date of the preceding market version(s).

A new market version can be set in the MART program. It is usually used for changes in the market that would impact the transactions such as a change in client commission or a change in brokerage or order % or perhaps the players on the market itself.

More information on where market version numbers are used, please look at the renewal policy and market pages on this wiki.
