ECLAIM Claim Record Enquiry

The ECLAIM program enables overview enquiries on existing claim records. It has search capabilities and the ability to filter and sort the results set. Once a claim's status has been selected (open, closed, denied, reopened, or any combination of these) a “fuzzy” search will search for policies that contain the free text entered into the dialog box. Users can search for a particular claim reference, number, partial reference, or number.

Fuzzy searches are available on the following additional criteria filters: loss details, certificate, claimant details, original assured, insured, and loss adjuster details. For example, searching for 'Fre' would return rows for Fred and Freida.

The claim reference and claim number fields can accept multiple search values. Searching for 'C12345 C54321' would return rows for claims C12345 and C54321. Make sure space is left between any search items entered.

Additional search criteria can be added using the + - buttons. Selecting positive (+) will add an additional criteria box, where an additional search option can be selected. The additional criteria are:

- Adjuster
- Certificate
- Claimant
- Entered By
- Insured
- Insured Code
- Loss Date From
- Loss Date To
- Loss Details
- Orig File Ref
- Original Assured
- Peril Code
- Policy Number
- Section
- Status Code
- Type
- Year

Selecting negative (-) will delete the last additional criteria in the list. The following columns are returned in the default layout.

Full grid customisation and the ability to drag column headers to group by those columns allow flexible ways to display data and save it in a preferred layout. Print and save to file options allow information sharing. The results set can be customised by using the grid filtering capability.

Claims can be viewed in more detail by right-clicking and using the context menus. The number of records returned by the search will be displayed next to the save to file button.

New claims can also be created from the ECLAIM program using the CLMMEN program. Additional criteria can be selected to refine the search results.

The search button will perform the search.

The reset button will reset the grid.

Sort results using the built-in filters or drag columns to group the results. Tooltips show how to best use the program.
